Andrew Pedtke is an Orthopaedic Surgeon and startup CEO/Founder who serves as Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) at the Hospital for Special Surgery’s Global Innovation Institute. Dr. Pedtke is committed to helping HSS invent the future of orthopaedics. In his role as EIR, Dr. Pedtke keeps HSS on top of emerging solutions in the orthopaedic industry and guides physicians on their ideas or entrepreneurial plans.
Dr. Pedtke is the co-Founder and CEO at LIM Innovations, a startup specializing in solutions for amputees and people with physical disability. LIM brought to market a line of prosthetic socket technology and an in-sourced medical group service model. Alongside these efforts included securing DoD funding for integration of sensors & wearables. Dr. Pedtke serves as an advisor and board director to several other startups.
Dr. Pedtke was an Echols Scholar at the University of Virginia, earned an MD from the University of Minnesota, and completed his orthopaedic surgery training at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Pedtke is licensed to practice medicine in the state of California and remains clinically active in general orthopaedics at a surgery center in San Francisco.
