Blaire Biase began her professional career at HSS as a Physician Assistant in 2003 where she had the opportunity to be mentored by leading orthopedic surgeons and clinical staff, many of whom are still practicing at HSS today. As HSS continued to grow, Blaire decided it was time to broaden her skills as well.

In 2012, Blaire joined Deloitte’s Healthcare Provider practice as a Senior Consultant specializing in supply chain management, process improvement, and clinical effectiveness. Still curious about the device industry, Blaire later joined an early medical technology start-up as the Strategic Product and Marketing Director. The company developed “Smart Orthopedic Devices” by combining orthopedic devices, sensor technology and cloud computing into one product. Among other responsibilities, she led the Surgery Advisory Board identifying Key Opinion Leaders in orthopedics for further product development and refinement.

Blaire eventually returned to HSS as the Assistant Director of Value Based Strategic Sourcing for the newly restructured Supply Chain practice. A native of New York City, she earned a B.S. in Environmental Science from Columbia University, a Masters of Medical Science at the Yale School of Medicine, and ultimately, her MBA from the Yale School of Management.
