Paul Waldinger is the Director of Medical Illustration, for the HSS Global Innovation Institute. His role includes the creation of medical illustrations, graphics and visuals that explain and market innovative and novel medical devices. These illustrations highlight certain product benefits and illustrate how these devices interact within the human body.

Paul is the former Digital Art Director of the Mount Sinai Health System and has more than 18 years of professional experience generating creative communications, specializing in creating high quality medical illustrations and graphics for professional and patient education, medical publishing, medical legal, medical device and other industries. His medical illustrations have been published in numerous medical journals, articles and textbooks nationwide. In addition, his case specific medical trial exhibits have been utilized by personal injury and medical malpractice attorneys across the nation resulting in multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for their clients.

He has been formerly trained as a medical illustrator from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. This highly specialized education included courses in both art and medicine including human gross anatomy and surgical illustration at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
